ActiveX Help And How-To

 ActiveX controls are used in several locations in ClientSpace, the following is designed to help with common ActiveX issues.

Before proceeding you should check the basic browser configuration for ClientSpace outlined in the document Internet Explorer Settings for ClientSpace.

Active X Error: One Or More ActiveX Controls Could Not Be Displayed

 

Navigate to Internet Options | Security Tab | Trusted Sites | Custom Level.

Update the option for  “Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting” to Enabled.
 

ActiveX MSI Installer

 In some cases the ActiveX controls have not been installed into the client browser yet.  If the client machine does not have access to the Installer page, you will need to force the browser to redirect to the appropriate path.

 

Active X can be pushed out using a direct URL path to the installer
After the domain portion (ie: clientspace.net) in the client's browser, simply append the following
/ActiveX/ClientSpace.ActiveXInstaller.msi to start the installer download.
