"Type Mismatch" Error When Selecting 'Server Data Proc' On Template Task Trigger

Problem

You attempt to create a Template Task using values from a custom server data proc for the dataform task trigger.  When you select Server Data Proc 2 as your source you receive a "Type Mismatch" error.  No values are available to choose for the trigger.

Cause

The Core lookup 'Trigger Field Source' which populates the lookup has a mis-configured code value.

Solution

Fix the Lookup Code Value

Open Admin Settings  | Lookups  and search for values with a lookup group of 'Trigger Field Source'.

Edit the Server Data Proc lookup in question and make sure the code value is PreSaveServerDataProc#,  replacing the # with the appropriate server data proc number.

Save your changes.


The lookup value for Field Display Proc 2 is actually FieldDisplayProc2.  These system level lookups should never be edited, especially the code values.
