"Invalid Cast Exception" When Clicking Ad-Hoc Report Link

Problem
You run an Ad-Hoc report that has an embedded drilldown link and when you click the link an error is thrown - "Invalid cast exception - an error has occurred while processing this request". In the Exception logs you will find the error: "System.IndexOutOfRange Exception: There is no row at position 0."
Cause
Column Additions in the middle of the report have caused the drilldown link to break as the referenced column has been moved
Solution
Adding a column to the middle of a report with drilldowns will shift the column count below the new column by one. This can be corrected by either:
- Move the new column to the end of the report
- Update your embedded drilldown links to account for the new column - You can find more info about drilldown links in the article Adding ClientSpace Drilldown functionality to Ad Hoc Reports.
