Clear The Browser Cache In Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer will often save or 'Cache' copies of frequently visited pages - this is one way the browser can speed up your internet experience, however this caching can cause issues if it saves a bad version of a page.  Learning to clear the browser cache will help get rid of these pages and force your browser to go get the latest version of a page, which can some basic internet issues.

Step-by-step guide

To clear the browser cache in internet explorer perform the following steps:

  1. Go to Tools | Internet Options | Browsing History and click the 'Delete...' button

  2. In the Delete Browsing History window that appears, make sure you check at least the boxes for Temporary Internet Files and Cookies and website data as shown below
  3. Click the Delete button again to perform the action.

  4. On the main Internet Options page, Click 'OK' to exit. 

You may need to restart the browser to complete this process.
