System Features Rollout




Release 66 brings with it a host of new features for our Legacy clients.  Our answer to the question of the motivational business fable - "Who moved my cheese?"  We did, but we are providing a road map to the new cheese here.  This document is designed to introduce the new features in the product as well as provide links to available documents for configuration and use.  

The Notification Inbox

All throughout the day when using the system you get notifications such as task items you need to attend to or Cases that have been updated - they all vie for your attention, but if you have to jump out to email to read them it slows you down. In an effort to streamline this process we have included the notification center in ClientSpace. This allows you to keep up to date on those important ClientSpace notifications without the distraction of jumping over to email.  The feature resides in the Work Center at the top left of your browser and allows you to manage your system generated notifications in a familiar inbox fashion.  For more information regarding the notification inbox and it's use,  review "Managing Notifications in ClientSpace".


Widget Layouts

How many times have you wanted to change the way the header works on a Workspace Landing page or dataform, or provide a custom homepage for your users?  With Widget Layouts you can.  Widgets are configurable system objects that can be combined to create custom landing pages or page headers and can include dynamic data such as Business Intelligence report parts.  If you like BI Dashboards, you will love widget layouts - to find out more, read "Adding Widget Layouts in ClientSpace".

The Help Center and Integrated Help 

The Help Center provides a central location for all of your help needs including configurable help links and a search function that searches the knowledge base to bring back targeted results.  For more information on integrated help and the help center, watch the video Help Center Overview.


Workfow Channels - Integrating workflow into your business process

Making sure things happen on time and in the proper order can be crucial to the success of your business.  Workflow Channels were designed to help with this, affording you the ability to create automatically generated tasks and dataforms (and associated notifications etc...) based on pre-defined triggering conditions.  As always, before you begin it is a recommended best practice to diagram the workflow you would like to accomplish.  Flowcharts can be very helpful in the design process, as long as you insure that you include the starting point, ending point, steps in between and the trigger conditions that lead from one step to another.  For complete configuration instructions, check out Configuring Workflow Channels.


Integration with Slack

Many companies now use Slack for internal Instant messaging and collaboration - with Slack integration we extend that to our app.   Share case and task info at the speed of instant messaging.  To learn more about how to configure and use the Slack integration, read Configuring Slack Integration.
