Solution
Verify the field location - it will be on the dataform on which you are attempting to drill into the search.

- Go to System Admin
| Advanced | Dataforms
- Select the dataform where the error was occurring and search for the field in question
- Edit the field and uncheck "clear Form Searchable".
- Save the record.
