ClientSpace provides the ability to select Case Type subscriptions (within security limits) which means you can subscribe to a given case type and if you have security appropriate to see the case type you will be notified when cases of this type are created.  The following document describes Case Type Subscriptions and how to manage them through the Case Type Subscriptions module.

To begin configuring Case Type Subscriptions, Click your user profile Image Removed then click Case Type Subscriptions

This will open a dialog displaying the currently subscribed case types and give you the ability to Add new types.

Clicking Add will will open a Case Type List containing a list of Case Types you have access to including:

  1. List Items - Individual Client Service Case Types - this works like most lists in the application and items may be selected via Double Click .
  2. Select button - if you prefer to select the list item and click select.
  3. Search parameters - allowing you to quickly find the Case Type to which you would like to subscribe.

Once selected the list items will appear disabled in the list.  Click Close to move to the next step.

Case Type subscriptions come in 3 flavors

  1. All Clients - You will receive case type notifications for this type of case from any workspace of which you are a member.
  2. My Clients - You will receive notifications for this type of case only from workpaces where your user account is included in the Client Team Group on the workspace.
  3. This Client - you will receive notification for this type of case only for a specific Client.  This option is only available to choose if you began editing your user profile from within a workspace.

To edit your user profile from a workspace navigate to the to workspace in question and you will see a user icon at the top of the workspace TOC

Beginning the case type selection from a workspace user profile icon will allow the selection of the "This Client" option as seen below

in NEXT

 As of release 43, Case Type subscriptions have been added to ClientSpace NEXT. 

An administrative Case Type Subscriptions module has been added to allow users to subscribe to specific case types either by individual workspace (filtered by the workspaces to which the selected user has access ) or by selecting "My Clients" which subscribes the user to the selected case type for any workspace where they are a member of the "Client Team" role in workspace security settings.

After selecting a Workspace option you then select the Category and Type of case to which you would like to subscribe:

 Global Admin users can either subscribe themselves in the same way, or add subscriptions for other users by selecting a different user in the Add dialog (altering user selection is limited to Global Admin users).

It is important to note that the Case Type Subscription follows the ClientSpace security model - a user is not allowed to subscribe to or receive notifications for any case type to which they do not have access.

Client Service Case Type Subscriptions MUST be configured at the user profile level - If a Global Admin user would like to configure Case Type subscriptions for users within their application install they must first assume the user before accessing the user profile.
